Elevating the Bathroom Experience

A bathroom should be a highly functional, moisture-resistant, and relaxing space. Remodeling a bathroom is one of the most technical projects in a home, requiring precise plumbing rough-ins, specialized waterproofing, and meticulous tile layout. EG Construction builds luxury bathrooms that combine premium materials with flawless execution.

We frequently redesign cramped, outdated bathrooms by reconfiguring the layout. This might involve removing an unused soaking tub to build a massive walk-in shower, adding a double vanity, or moving plumbing stacks to optimize the floor plan. The goal is to maximize space, light, and usability.

The longevity of a bathroom relies entirely on what happens behind the tile. We use advanced waterproofing membranes, properly sloped shower pans, and high-quality plumbing valves to ensure your new bathroom never leaks and performs flawlessly for decades.

The Importance of Waterproofing

A beautiful tile job means nothing if the shower leaks. We refuse to cut corners on moisture protection. We strip the shower area down to the framing, inspect for dry rot, and install industry-leading waterproofing systems before a single tile is laid. We properly slope the mud bed to the drain to prevent standing water, ensuring your shower remains mold-free and structurally sound.

Popular Bathroom Upgrades

Curbless Showers

By modifying the floor joists, we can create a seamless transition from the bathroom floor into the shower, offering a sleek, modern look and improved accessibility.

Radiant Heating

We install electric radiant heat mats beneath the tile flooring, providing consistent warmth during colder California mornings.

Freestanding Tubs

Replacing bulky built-in deck tubs with elegant freestanding models opens up floor space and serves as a stunning visual centerpiece.

Custom Lighting

Proper lighting makes a massive difference. We install layered lighting, including recessed ceiling cans, dedicated shower lighting, and face-level vanity sconces to eliminate shadows.

Frequently Asked Questions

A standard master bathroom remodel takes 4 to 6 weeks. If we are moving plumbing lines, removing walls, or waiting on custom glass enclosures, it may take slightly longer.

If the remodel involves moving plumbing, adding new electrical circuits, or altering structural walls, a permit is legally required. Cosmetic updates like changing a vanity or painting do not require a permit.

Yes. Moving a toilet or shower requires altering the main waste and vent stacks beneath the floor. This is easier if the house has a raised foundation, but we can also trench concrete slab foundations to relocate plumbing.

We recommend smaller tiles (like mosaics) for shower floors because the increased grout lines provide necessary slip-resistance, and small tiles conform better to the required slope toward the drain.
